"The programme has been designed on the basis of a series of teaching and research activities (basic, themed and methodological seminars) which provide support to the doctoral candidates so that they can do all the actions required in drafting the thesis and, consequently, being awarded the title of doctor. We recommend entrance to this doctorate programme after completion of the UOC University Master's Programme in Education and ICT (e-learning) or similar. The languages of use of the doctoral programme are English, Spanish and Catalan, depending on each case, so learning resources are provided in these languages. A high level of fluency in English is required. The learning type of the doctoral programme is distance learning, although it may also be offered as a full-time on-site course if the doctoral candidate is awarded a grant that so allows. In order to develop skills in the area of research in e-learning, doctoral candidates are attached to a research group or work with a researcher. The reading and viva voce of the doctoral thesis will necessarily be on-site."
