I have been an English Teacher (K12-EFL) for 2 decades, always curious about new ways of using technology in education. I am also an enthusiast of online learning and the amazing web.
I am currently a researcher at the Laboratory of Distance Education (LEaD), Universidade Aberta, Portugal. I train higher education teachers and trainers to teach/train online and I also teach in the eLearning Pedagogy Master’s.
My master’s dissertation, “From Web 2.0 to eLearning 2.0: Learning in the Network” is available in an online version @ http://orfeu.org/weblearning20 (only Portuguese, but there’s an abstract in English).
My interests include eLearning 2.0, connectivism and networked learning. On a more broad perspective I’m interested in cyberculture, edutech, literature, music, people and writing.
